A 9 month abortion and right-after-birth infanticide are more alike than a 9 month abortion and a 8 month abortion. Infanticide of a 1 month pre-maturely born baby is more similar to an 8 month abortion than a 9 month abortion.

I pretty much agree with Peter Singer- near-painless infanticide is fine shortly after birth (a few weeks). So yeah - utilitarian at heart.
