Check VPN comparison charts. For example the website Tomshardware did one a while back. You can use the search function to find it. Most VPN's do not keep logs. If they did and it was revealed no one use that VPN anymore. So they wont out you (do it at your own risk though). I'm sure if it was something illegal they would have no qualms about reporting you. It will be hard for them to answer to the customers if someone had all the things they were doing through the VPN exposed without any of it being illegal though. So it's just my opinion that they wouldn't do it.
