Use exclusions

See which exit nodes are blocking GC. (Open the "View Network" tab and see which nodes you are actively using when GC gets blocked) Then exclude them directly on your torrc file. Yes, it's cumbersome, and it evolves so it's not really 100% sure to work. But it beats the alternative.
