What are your favorites senses? If you had to let

go of two out of the five, which do you think they'd be?

I personally think I'd have a hard time living without a sense of touch (paralysis, for example). So gotta keep that one.

I think I could tolerate living with no sense of smell, without too much trouble. So there goes my first.

Vision, I would rather not be without, since there are just to many beautiful sights and scenes on the planet to miss out on, and since when vision is combined with touch, I am capable of creating for myself (in the company of only me, and in the privacy of my own living quarters) a virtual paradise of a sexual experience. And, yes, enjoyable sexual experiences (just as with all healthy human beings) are important to me.

So now it's down to taste or sound. Don't really think I'd like to live without taste. So out goes sound, especially since losing sound could very well prove to give me some much-needed inner peace since I would no longer have to hear all the noise and bullshit that so often blabs out of this or that person or machine. And the reason I chose to lose sound over sight, is because I can quite easily shut my eyes when I see something displeasing, whereas it is not as easy for a human to shut his ears to the many bothersome sounds that often pop up without much notice.

So there it is - sound and smell are gonzo.

And which - you may be wondering - of these two would I miss the most? I say prolly the sense of smell, since smell, in my opinion, along with taste, completes the full sense of touch. And I like the full sense of touch. For example, I like biting into food, tasting and smelling it, as I chomp it. But regarding the sense of smell "on it's own" (in and of itself), ho....ly.....shit are my eyes capable of rolling back into my head with bliss at the smell of a ripe stinky set of feet, especially when those ripe stinky feet belong to someone cute. Who likes ripe stinky feet on cuties? I do, I do. (....Just don't let them know you like their stinky feet so much, or else they might think you're kinda weird. Just say pewww when they ask, and then consider doing a double take to make sure after which you can then tell them "Yep, you're right, they do have a slight odor, but nothing to worry about").

But as for whether I'd miss the sense of sound, I sure would. I'd miss the sound of pretty voices especially when they're singing. And also the birds or crickets or even air conditioners (sometimes) or fans or purring diesel engines, etc. There are times when you really can't beat the sound of a purring diesel engine. And also campfires make a nice crackly hissing/blowing kinda sound that settles the mind.

But if I had to lose two, I'm gonna stick with sound and smell. How bout y'all?
