Mary + Me = Marry Me! :^)

Man, if only I could marry my little Mary, but alas (a lass?), I must be content to spend the occasional day or evening with her. Yesterday was such a day. Mary's mom, Ann, wanted to go out last night and strongly hinted to me that she needed a sitter for Mary. I, of course, elected to fill that role, since it was obvious she was prompting me. I picked her up at about 5 PM and first . . . well you guessed it, we went swimming. We stayed in the pool until we were both shriveled like prunes. However, since Mary seems to be missing the bottom part of her swimsuit, she had had to wear her shorts in the pool and only just changed her top. After heading back to my place, I threw her wet clothes in the drier while she wore one of my t-shirts around the house, which just looked adorable on her, a black nightgown with a rock band on the front (I won't tell you which one.) She seemed to enjoy the fact that she was dressed in nothing but Uncle Seth's t-shirt, and I can't say I didn't find the idea appealing also. :)

We had a dinner of chicken strips and french fries. Then, we played computer games for awhile, and later she snuggled in my lap and we watched television--a couple of Phineas and Furb episodes, followed by The Incredibles movie. It was almost midnight when Ann got home, even though Mary had school the next day (today.) I hope she got plenty of sleep! Sometimes her mom can be a little careless about such things, but Ann's negligence was my and Mary's gain. A good time was had by all.
