YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The gays gained their acceptance, for the most part, simply by scapegoating us; by aiming the publics attention toward "the real problem" - that being those of us who long to be with someone who is young. But we will recover from this only when young people themselves start demanding that their voices and opinions be honored irrespective of when they happen to complete the governments' education system. Right now, young people are like well-pacified (pacified with video games, tv and everything else) prisoners of all adults who support, or are involved in, the government-run compulsory education system.

When public education is no longer compulsory and/or ends at a younger age, the AOC will therefore be lowered to such an age, or, in the event education becomes no longer compulsory at all - AOC laws will likely, over time, become a forgotten thing of unenlightened past.

What we have on our side, the way I see things, is the raw physical nature of human beings; we humans, from birth, are sensual and enjoy loving touch. It's that simple. The only reason adults and young people are not able to enjoy certain brands of physical contact in our current times, is because young people are deemed as not knowing what they need to know unless they've at least finished high school. But one day it'll occur to humanity that since we consider kids as being able to know what they want in matters such as hunting, using weapons, playing dangerous sports or riding bicycles or skateboards etc.(which are certainly things capable of incurring a youngster harm or death), and that they are capable of practicing safety and responsibility in such activity, there should therefore be no reason why these same youngsters can't also have the ability to know what they want, or how to be responsible, in matters such as having whatever brand of contact or relations with whatever brand of human being of whatever age. One day humans will remember, that aside from the social norms of any given culture, contact between any age of people can always prove to be both beneficial or harmful. Being 18 (or any certain magical number) does not assure harmLESSness, just as being under 18 (or under any certain magical number) does not assure harmFULness. And two people being the same, or close in, age, does not assure harmLESSness, just as being decades apart does not assure harmFULness. One day we, as a human race, will have to face these all-to-obvious eternal truths. And it would be in our favor to deal with them without prejudice - with an open and clear mind.

I think once we end the need for compulsory education, we therefore destroy the foundation for making mass determinations regarding when every human alike is mentally fit "enough" to make certain decisions with "their own" bodies. [I put "their own" in quotes since right now, they truly don't own their bodies. It's sad and sickens me to say this, but society as a whole, as well as the government, are actually the ones who do truly own the bodies of people under 18]

End compulsory education and the end of the AOC will soon follow. End the government's ability to say when a person is "educated enough", and we end the business of it being a public affair to decide when a person is mentally competant enough.

But as a disclaimer:
I do feel that romantic relationships and sexual contact taking place in our culture (in our current social and legal climate) between and adult and minor, is unwise for an adult to do, since doing so will, at the very least most likely prove harmful for a minor, if for no other reason than due to the hysterical reactions of society. The hysterical reactions of society, in and of itself, have proved plenty capable of traumatizing the living hell out of a minor (FOR LIFE!!!!!). And for this reason alone, I advocate, in these current times, that peds refrain from pursuing such contact with a minor.
