I appreciate the additional info, NFiH. As I've alluded, I posted this because it is interesting, not holy writ. It's not like I'd ever trust a single report to settle any issue anyway; especially not a government report! =) However, I've read other research and reports regarding rape and they don't all have the same limitations. From what I have seen, the general gist that pubescent girls and younger women are more likely than older women to be raped does tend to hold up. I'm not saying I'm completely certain that my interpretation is correct and anyone who disagrees is inevitably wrong. That would be a foolish leap of faith which is never a good idea even in the name of science. This will be a good subject for a long, thorough and well-sourced article in the near future.

At least their conservative definition of "forcible rape" excludes linguistically dubious legal constructions like "statutory rape".
