I am not assuming that you have to be aware of the difference to oppose or at least not automatically accept social taboos. I would think there are people who question them without actually being very able to tell apart narrow peds from hebes. They just wouldn't think there is a difference, without it meaning that they see the group negatively.

I am not prioritizing either way. I just don't see any political need to insist on the difference, and I am wary that the very real difference could instead be used to divide and conquer.

Here's why it matters: "pedophilia" in the broad sense is not a minority orientation as political-homosexuals describe homosexuality. Strategically it would actually be ill-advised to ghettoize ourselves rather than hammer on the hypocrisy of sexually schizophrenic "polite society." We need to punch up the cognitive dissonance as much as possible. Strong sexual attraction to "minors" is NOT rare. Admitting such attraction is - as long as so many people are such craven hypocrites and cowards on this issue.

I agree. This, though, would seem to support my point that it is not useful to emphasize the difference. Hebe sexuality being much closer to Polite Society than narrow peds, it would be possible to mainstream hebes and still ghettoize narrow peds.

We won't do that by buying into false dichotomies promoted in so-called polite society and even in pedo-PC. "You're either into adults or into minors" (compare to "you're either straight or gay") is simply bullshit.

This number is probably in the 1-10% range, and probably even in the lower half. It would still be a lot of people, though: 35 million worldwide assuming 1% (and taking into account that PPG tests are, by definition, only including males).
