I'm gonna have to side with Voltaire on this one. I wouldn't expect a privilege extended to me that was denied to someone else. Let's be honest, we are a controversial demographic ourselves, and there sure are people who would like to shut us up. It ain't gonna happen, and by the same token, a bit hypocritical it would be for me to desire someone else be disallowed to speak their opinion, whether I agree or not. [And trust me, I don't...]

You ask specifically about the internet. I believe anything can be discussed in a civil manner. As long as the TOS is not violated, well, there's no TOS violation... [In theory at least, right?] White supremacy is arguably hateful in nature, yeah, but that doesn't necessarily mean everything they have to say should be taken as a threat. And there's also a double standard to take in mind. I can't tell you how many times I've seen sentiments like "kill whitey" lately. In a lot of cases, no one cares. But if the response is "but whites are superior!" then I expect some hell will be raised. And, honestly, which of those statements is more offensive?

I think the most important thing is this. You know absolutely nothing about a person or group of people until you allow yourself to experience them firsthand. And I'm referring to both sides of the coin on this.

Then again, you've gotta believe some people pull the "white supremacy" or "kill whitey" stuff just because they're a troll. ; ]

Sorry for jumping on a little soapbox here, but I feel strongly about this.
