I am always in for a letdown

Sadly, I have been let down, in that sense of "anachronistic ahistorical hodgepodge of an ideology" by people in every political family. Neo-Nazis aren't alone in that. You have Socialists who make a point of saying they don't support Castro - despite Cuba being a relative success of Socialism. (I got reminded of that with the public education debate: Cuba has excellent education numbers, but American statists have issues to endorse it, god knows why)
