Those postponed articles in Romanian are pretty trippy. Some words look pretty funny that way, like Jurnalul.

Funny, though, the example you gave is also true in English: We visit America, or we visit the United States; or we visit Britain, but we visit the United Kingdom; we also talk about the United Arab Emirates, the People's Republic of China or the PRC, and so forth.
