I remember reading a story about a man who was forced to pay child support to his ex girlfriend. A paternity test proved that he wasn't the father of the child, but the court didn't care. Somebody has to fork out cash to the mother, and this guy had already paid her some money, so he should continue to pay until the kid is an adult, even though he has proven that he is not the father of the child.
This story outraged me. How can the courts in the USA punish someone who has proven their innocence to the court's satisfaction? But, there have been 100 or more such cases since then. Innocence is completely irrelevant in the USA courts.
Ever read the obituaries? There is always a story of an 80+ year old woman with a "life partner" or "live in boyfriend". Right away, you can translate the PC language to reality, and see that some poor guy has been getting fucked out of his salary and has been suffering in poverty for decades because a court order decided the bitch and her lover should live it up while her ex suffers.
