It is hard to know exactly what he is like, and what your discussions were about thus far, but from personal experience, making the analogy between being gay, and being gl/bl as similar has helped me.

lol! Thanks for the advice, but nah with him he would be totally fine if I was one of the saintly gays that only likes adults. He even said something to that effect (but less sarcastic) in our conversation.

I hope you made sure to explain what the paper is that he found, what is was referring to. Maybe if he understands the context it will keep his mind from wandering.

Well I mentioned that it was published in the journal of homosexuality, because he seemed to think I was looking at stuff that was "borderline illegal" and I was trying to illustrate how they're are credible scholars, political scientists, and psychologists writing about this stuff, and it's not just a bunch of crazies on the net sharing nutjob opinions (to any anti's reading this, I know you disagree, sure David Thorstad was only pretending to be a gay activist right? ha)

Anyway, I'm tempted to get him to read it.
