By you saying "you feel another big debate coming with your parents", I think what you need to do, Citr, is to never discuss the topic with them, unless they initiate the on the topic and they do so in a civil tone.

By the sounds of it, talking about it with them is only gonna strengthen ill-feelings between y'all. I think you should have your own place and not talk about it with them (sorry for assuming you don't have your own place but by the sounds of your post it seemed that way. And keep in mind I don't want to know if my assumption is true).

Anyways; discussing the topic one last time in order to let them know that you have no intentions of having actual contact with a child, is prolly a decent thing to do, and a decent way to end the debate for good with them, at least until - like I said - they, at some point in the future, initiate discussion on the topic and they do so in a civil tone.
