Next Chapter in my Girl's Life
Posted by Sexiest GLer of All Time on 2010-July-05 08:10:17 EDT, MondayI saw her again today.
In a place I didn't expect.
But just a block from where she usually hangs out.
She was more playful than she had usually been lately. Nice. Very nice.
She was wearing an old football (Gridiron, for youse Yoorohpeens) jersey, and making proof that on lg's, simplicity is most often a winner.
She pointed at her mom, who was at a pointable distance from us.
(And thank God I knew her when she was 8 and her sister early-teen-ish; because mom is, well, not 1% as attractive)
She seemed a little too nervous about her. Like, misquoting a child singer very popular on GC, she knew "my mom is gonna ground me if she knows that I have a boyfriend".
No, she hasn't asked. Yet. But she almost treats me such. And her eyes stealing looks in mom's direction gave me little doubt. She knows she doesn't really know if she wants her mom to know. Nothing has happened that I cannot justify easily with her mom. (Well, nothing has happened not in public - what could there be questionable?!) But she realizes that she is now entering a stage when she probably doesn't want her mom to know everything (for good and bad reasons alike - that is topic for a serious post). It is sweet. I am her Forbidden Dream.
And I dream that she will dream our shared dream more often soon.
She told me she will be waiting for me everyday during the schoolbreak.
Oops! I am not a student so I don't have a real break. Which still means I have to make the most of the next few times I see her. This is our first summer. Nothing will ever be like that in the rest of our lives.
I love you, and I really don't know what else to say.
I will try to attend a St Maria Goretti mass on Tuesday (unlikely that I can, but has to be tried). I will pray for her. No, I am not a Catholic. But it doesn't matter. I'd agree to a Catholic ceremony if she agreed to wear a school uniform instead of a bridal dress.
