I find it just the opposite. If someone is writing to, at, or in the general direction of me, it is because they wish to make me think their way. To me, this is distracting. I suffer to endure the distractions occasionally until either I adopt their way of thinking or I reject it. It is far easier for me to think my own way, make my own mistakes, come to my own conclusions from the data I collect. If I accept rabbits in magic hats, then I should pay for my mistake. If I try to cross the street and get hit by a car, then I should die. If I discover love, then I should enjoy.

With that said, I would agree with you (because misery loves company) in that he is writing what you and I are thinking.

From my point of view, he did not save me the trouble but, rather, he is doing work I have already done.

Nonetheless, good work: both of you.
