I am somewhat disinclined to take Der Spiegel seriously when it comes to children and sexuality. It you look in their archives ⚠️ ↗ for 1977 you will see that the front page of issue 22 of 23 May 1977 is blank. The accompanying article (Titel or main story) is also just gone, like it was never written.

The blank front page shows 11-year Eva Ionesco nude. The page is not difficult to find on the net, but I suppose this constitutes 'child porn' is many places, so be aware.

I have a copy of the main story from 23 May 1977. It is actually quite critical to what is termed 'children in the sex-market', but the article also has many illustrations, photos and drawings, that give you a good idea of how children were once part of our sexual culture - for good or bad.

That Der Spiegel in later years has censured itself like this, shows the power of the anti-sex movement. The antis not only want to change the present, they want to change history to make it fit with their own arguments and policies. Read the present-day article from Der Spiegel in this light.
