The only thing that seems very drastic about this phenomenon is of course GRS, and I wish there was an alternate solution.

There are some transgendered who go against both mainstream society and the expectations of mainstream transsexuals. Their identity doesn't hinge on what equipment they have between their legs. In some cases they get everything done except for the GRS.
