I understand that Abraham Maslow himself was rather stringy and needed strong seasoning.
The language of rights erosion seems commonplace today.
When a basic right, exercised by the majority of people in their own way, is requested to be exercised by a minority in theirs, it becomes a "special right."
And why even talk rights at all when more and more of them can be couched in terms of "privilege?" Its one thing for a government to impose penalties for the abuse of a right when it injures another. But its another thing entirely to extend that power towards "granting" or "withholding" the right in the first place. At that point it has ceased to be a right. ( Driving one's own vehicle comes to mind.)
