Lateralus is making reference to another recent post of mine.

The Icelanders of the time did not have a State, however, they still had courts and civil society. Anarchy does not mean absence of order, it means absence of government.

As it happens, I'm more of a minarchist anyway, for practical reasons, but that doesn't mean that even that much is required.
