And it happens all too often. Hopefully Annie will realize that her mother has no love for her, but her father does, and will try to restart her relationship with her father when she's 18. In the meantime I hope she is able to find someone that cares about her because her mother clearly doesn't.

Many of these injustices would be avoided by asking children a simple but very important question: "Who do you want to live with?"
