I understand your "find a way to make that view". I agree. Yes, I do that too. A girl is in the bank line waiting for a teller with her parent. I stand obliquely to watch out of the corner of my eye. The line moves and she is now on the other side of me. I discretely turn to accommodate a view.
Often, I wear dark sunglasses inside so nobody can see my eyes diverted inappropriately. Head forward, eyes right! Fortunately for me, I am light sensitive and can see indoors with heavily darkened glasses. It takes a few moments for my eyes to adjust though. Another tactic is to watch reflections. The elevator in my building has mirrors to help those who tend to claustrophobia. I can easily face a mirrored wall and watch safely with other people thinking I cannot see the "eye candy" as you call them.
