I do not agree with censoring anyone on any topic, not even based on arguments that it's in the "public good." No minority group, no matter how they have been treated, should be subject to special protections or considerations. It should just be insured that vigilante groups do not break the laws or infringe upon the rights of anyone else while conducting their activities. Should they be held accountable for needlessly ruining the lives of innocent people, including defamation of character? Yes, because they defame the character of an entire minority group, and they should be subject to libel laws for when they blatantly lie or misrepresent info. But they should be free to spout as many hateful comments as they like, as long as these are admitted to being opinions when they do not have empirical facts to back them up. We cannot censor hate speech anymore than we can censor any facts or viewpoints the public may be uncomfortable with. We have to show that we are serious about liberation, and that we are willing to extend the same rights to our enemies that we ourselves ask for.
