Yes, it was pitch shifted and I've been studying many sound files to find that adults do have a mature voice even if it is pitch shifted. There is more fine control. I am not, however, surprised that you could "hear" what I was doing. Only a child lover would notice that, I think.

What my experiment was trying to ferret out, was how sensitive were people to a child's higher pitched voice. In so doing, I could focus in on what attracts people (like me) to a childs voice and why. Often, I am at home when the school buses bring home the kids and I can't stand sitting at my desk listening to those children's voices. I have to get up and go look.

The singer is an edited Carrie Underwood, pitch shifted 6 steps.
