Alternatives to the State?

What good or service provided by the State can't be more efficiently and effectively provided on freed markets? In many cases this is already true on the black and grey markets despite massive government efforts otherwise.

All goods and services - needs and desires - which the State is unwilling or unable to provide (or even criminalizes outright) can/will be provided through market processes.

Creating our own social, economic, and support networks and living spaces where in practice, the old rules apply less and less. Creatively developing and applying technologies (old and new) to these ends

Much as Heinlein said, people are more rationalizing beings than rational beings. For the most part, serious change won't come about through appealing to joe sixpack's or sally soccermom's sense of reason, but by providing practical incentives and alternatives. We start with people who are open-minded enough not to unthinkingly accept taboos, which in my experience is probably along the lines of 10 to 20%. One good thing about this approach - which in a sense could be called anti-political - is that we don't need to appeal to close-minded idiots and we can apply our strategy and tactics NOW rather than wait and hope for some far-off breakthrough ushering in a utopia (pedotopia).

Unlike the State freed markets don't and won't institutionalize discrimination: if there is a demand, no matter how "evil" in the eyes of so-called polite society, there will be suppliers who answer it. We need to work on weakening the State's monopoly and protection racket which interfere with these organic market processes.

I am all for what you are doing, and yes I do consider the points you made to be activism, but not CL related.

We do have a section we're developing called Lolilicious! if that tells you anything! (For us the L in GL for example stands for Lust as well; we are sex-positive.) We tend to admit that children/teens are sexy. Though we tend to be skeptical of the simplified "pick from this list -- limit one!" scheme of politically/socially constructed sexual orientations that has come to be promoted in the modern west. But yeah our goals -- such as strengthen practical sovereignty as much as possible, get busybodies out of our business -- have an appeal broader than that of a narrow "political CL."

I can't remember if you stated if your board is pubic or private. I would really love to know more about it. I was actually gonna ping Dissy about contact and about your board. I'm assuming you don't want to mention it on here. Is is invite-only?
