I told her that most likely I would have gotten involved with her when she was as young as 11 or 12, provided she still had many of the personality qualities she has today that enabled me to fall in love with her. If the AoC laws didn't exist (as we know them today) I would have proudly dated her openly, walked down the street holding hands with her in public, and accompanied her out to dinner on many occasions. I wouldn't give a damn what society thought about our relationship in such a case. When she asked me if I could have fallen in love with her if she was as young as 10, I told her that it was possible, provided she still had at least many of the personality traits she has now, and assuming that she initiated the relationship. I am, after all, attracted to a specific level of physical and emotional development, not merely a number, and she said she developed many of her present teen-like qualities by age 10, so I am not totally certain how soon I may have been willing to get involved with her in the absence of AoC laws.
