After reading Chai's side, I echo his feeling

that all news stories must be taken as allegations only (not fact), until proven otherwise. But if what Chai (Tchaicovsky) says is more in line with the truth, then what I said in regards to my assumption of Edwin having no ill intent, or that the Mom was not pressing charges, goes out the window.

It's just too early to say (and of course I know that the whole truth sometimes is never revealed, even after the trials). But as of yet it does "at least" seem that Edwin acted too quickly and rashly in approaching the child and then taking it outside. And if such is proven to be the case, and aside from whether ill-intent was present or not, he at least deserves (as I originally said) psychiatric evaluation and counseling, and some community service would seem fitting too.

Guess we just wait to hear more on this. I hope someone posts more on it as the case progresses.
