Reminds me, that some of my friends hit on some 16 yo girls, when we were all 24-25, by pretending to be gays. Pickup artist trick..,

Whatever works... next sexual mood swing when the girls change to wanting a "macho" guys, your friends can just claim they got "cured" at church and that they're joining the military and want to have an awesome sex party before they get deployed out to the desert. Then again it depends on your country, the church there might be 90% gays and boy-lovers. =|

Anyway, I have actually considered acting a little gay when around my family. Then it may be more accepted for example, that I have an interest in Lazy Town, and that I take more interest in little girls than little boys. Unfortunately my dad apparently dislike gay people more than pedophiles, so I can't overdo it.

Hmm. Decisions, decisions. Maybe try pretending to be asexual...

As for me I'm open with family about the "hebe" spectrum of my attraction. Works in my particular case. Otherwise with friends and acquaintances I tend to be open and upfront from the start about the whole spectrum. I tend to have a sense of humor about it though, that helps a great deal. As far as I know there's only one life to live, and life's too short to waste time with people who wouldn't like me for who I am. I've learned to breeze beyond the people who are totally close-minded, and go for that 10-20% (in my experience anyway) who don't unthinkingly accept taboos. That's still a a great deal of people. I just have to be friendly, reach out to people, and not let rejection (when it happens) cramp my style.
