If you like 9-year-olds and are an exclusive for pre-pubs, people are going to assume that no 9-year-old, unless they are already "inappropriately sexualized" will respond to your advances.

Unless you have impulse control or boundary problems (which would spill over to your social life with adults), precedents of too overt or problematic sexual relationships with adults (not an issue if you are an exclusive, though), or have already been caught, it will be very possible for people to think you are inoffensive because you are not going to find a willing partner and are not going to force yourself upon an unwilling partner.

If you like 14-year-olds, no matter how many teens publicly say that they don't like "creepy old guys", everybody also knows they fawn over 45-year-old movie stars. Everybody knows, also, that they (at least some) are willing to be sexual (at least with some people). Therefore, people will probably think that leaving you with the teens is a bad idea.

Of course, I am also half-assuming that hebes are never exclusives, based on the fact that biologically, 15 is a lot closer to 25 than to 5.
