Do I really have to point out the absurdity of a position that essentially says "it's selfish to campaign for the fundamental rights of countless future children at the expense of the relationships you might have with a handful of girls in the present"? 'Girl love' is no less loving when its objects are unborn and nonreciprocating.

When the campaign is a) unlikely to ever see fruit and b) considered by many to be a direct direction of your love and therefore grounds to keep you from seeing the girls, then it not so absurd. Weigh the reality of your situation (if you were out like me, I mean) against the fantasy of ever seeing your activism ever achieving anything. Should I spend the rest of my life sans girls in order to fight for something I cannot ever see being achieved, even if I did think it a worthwhile cause? Why would I?
