Wow. I Love how you've managed to portray so many different aspects, confidence as well as innocence, a rather intimidating sense that she knows more and can read you like a book. Well done.

Thanks. I'm not sure if you (or others here) are aware of what I mean by a mock-up ⚠️ ↗. I didn't do much actual drawing for this, and what I did do was done entirely in Photoshop (these are Alia's cloak, jewelry and dagger, the sandworm and Paul in top petal, the lightning in the left petal and the castle and ship in the right petal.) The tri-part frame that these scenes are contained in was also designed in Photoshop. Everything else is either from a doctored photo or clip art. In terms of Alia herself, I culled through hundreds of photos of young girls to find just the right one. I really had to play around with it a bit (like adding the lower foot because it was cut off by the bottom of the original photo), but I knew as soon as I saw her that she was Alia. The eyes are what give her that spooky sense of wisdom beyond her years. But I couldn't accomplish that bright glowing blue nondigitally, so what I did for the drawing was make her eyes slightly larger and add dots of reflected light to them They're even spookier now in my opinion, the kind of eyes that seem to follow you when you move.

Anyway, the drawing won't be quite the same in terms of detail or shading because it is impossible to get that level of detail in the size I'm working with, but it'll be close. The strength of this image is in the design. My graphic design skills have gotten better because I understand more how to balance an image, incorporate themes, etc. When you're working with a design as detailed as this one, you should use the same rules that you might use for a scenic photo or painting: foreground, middle ground, background; overall composition; color harmonies; etc.
