Where have I ever said anything about gun control?

I've never read anything by me on the subject. I'm just saying that gun ownership isn't very useful as an isolated statistic. Perhaps you'd like to ease off on that 'hair trigger' of yours? ;)

And yes; socialism comes in many flavours, with negative and positive consequences. That's my point. Whenever you have people getting together and pooling their resources (ostensibly) for the greater good, you have socialism. Socialist principles are interwoven into modern societies.
