I've been out there. I know how it can be. The risk of death is there, of course, but so, too, is the call to sail. That call just can't be ignored for long. Abby is in one of the roughest places in the world to sail. Do you think an inexperienced "child" could even get there? This kid is a seasoned veteran. What happened to her happens to sailors. It is a calculated risk. So, too, is riding home in a teenager's car after the prom.
Hopefully, Abby launched her life raft and someone will find her.
