This is highly debatable. The statement has no basis in fact, but seems to be based upon your value judgements.

You seem to be judging the entire race by American standards, when in fact a more twisted culture would be difficult to find.

The Union of Soviet Socialist Republics and the so-called Chinese socialists seem to have given socialism a bad name.
I have been in socialist countries, in Scandinavia, and they are so far ahead of us intellectually, morally, ethically, socially, and financial-security wise that it is almost beyond comprehension to the untraveled.
Countries with no slums, no ghettos, no homeless, nobody without health care; c'mon, get your head out of your ass. This is the next step up the evolutionary scale for a society.

The only reason you don't like socialism is because the television pundits
have made it a dirty word.
