I do think what you said is important, but I do not get involved in the parents vs. the state arguments, because I believe the decision to engage in intergen relationships should come from the youths in question, not the parents, and not the state. If the kids wanted to have these relationships, then I would support the parents in this instance only to the extent that they supported the will of their kids.\

And yes, change does take time, and all progress must occur in steps...but my point is, it can and does occur. I think it's more realistic at this point to attempt to establish youth liberation within the confines of the current system than it is to try and tear down the state.
