Some interesting points, thanks lgs. The thing is though, why the real desire to learn second/several languages at all? (Irregardless of whether English is chosen.) Historically the vast majority of Europeans were monolingual, just as most Americans and Brits are today. But I guess you've already mostly answered my question. The Zionist-American alliance conquered Western Europe at the end of WWII, and their occupation has continued to this day. And it's American pop culture and all other things dumbing-down and inane that continue to also perpetuate the trend.
