If we wait for society to change before we start defending teen pregnancy, then it will be too late for the generations of teen parents before that happens. Some of the news articles mentioned famous teen mothers, such as Juno, Jamie Lynn Spears and Bristol Palin: but Juno is a movie and Jamie Lynn and Bristol are rich. Most teen parents have no such luck.

It might seem cruel to want to create change through having victims of current society. But victims of current society are going to exist anyway. I think that an increase in them is more likely to bring about much needed change, than waiting until there is none before advocating it.

But yes, we should also (I am, but I would like to invite you all to do it too) be trying to help teen parents in any way we can.
