If he is diagnosed pedophile he might get lower penalties.
But he can also get custody, and then there have to be a court judging if they find him fit to go back to society again. Whether there is a risk of him doing the crime again is then important that he will be let out or not. So then it can in theory mean a lifetime in prison...
