The Body Language

There is this 13yo girl.

She isn't the prettiest girl I know. She isn't the hottest girl I know. To my taste she is a little too developed for her age, and a little too fleshy to my liking.

However, life's what it is. I do like her. A lot. I have seriously considered allowing her to know it. I haven't.

There is this guy, a little older, but not more-than-doubling her age as I am.

I have to say that, although he would probably not be my first pick if I was her dad, she can certainly do much worse.

He is nice to her. He treats her decently. To tell the truth, I haven't really seen any sign that he does want anything with her. He is simply, so far, being a gentleman. Though of course, then you could ask yourself if there would be any motive to be so gentlemanly with her if he wasn't seeking her attention. Yeah, I know he is dead wrong in trying to seduce her, but what am I to do? Beat him to a wheelchair? Yeah, that will suure get me the girl and live happily ever after

Anyway

It is amazing and awesome, and cute, despite being so clockworkily predictable, how she touches and caresses her arm with her other hand, and pushes up the (this time of the year) short sleeves of her T-shirt whenever she speaks with him.

Yes, I like her arms - and I like them bare!

But that is not the point.

She unconsciously knows that by baring her arms she is actually showing more of herself, without too obvious a move like taking off her shirt or pushing out her butt. But she is also nervous, and the self-hug is comforting. And finally, that sets up a small space of protection. She feels herself vulnerable - because she likes this guy so much and she fears he could take advantage of that. She knows she is at risk of giving away herself too much. By putting one arm around her, she sets up a psychological shield. (Never mind that she has a Trojan Horse at the back of her neural tube)

All of that is of course, unconscious or at most semi-conscious. When it becomes conscious, they hide it, and they avoid doing this kind of display, because THAT makes them show everything they want not to show. But it is instinctive and ingrained in the female psychology. All girls behave like that. When they learn to hide it, they have become women.

And yes, it is cute. And if you ask me, extremely attractive and sexy.

Now of course, I am the Scientist with the 13yo and her crush, even though I'd gladly exchange places with the Male.

But it is thousands of times better when it is a 9yo doing it, and you are her crush that makes her do it.
