No 5th amendment rights unless you say so.

Since the beloved Supreme Court just gave that lovely ruling on civil commitment recently, I thought I'd share with you their next 'good-time'.

In a 5-4 ruling, more yeas from Conservatives, they have ruled that in order to take advantage of the right to remain silent you have to say to interrogator's that you don't want to answer their questions or that you refuse to answer.

The right is longer inferred.

Interesting... I wonder what other rights we will need to invoke. What others might no longer be assumed? Isn't that why they are called RIGHTS, because they are there to protect us no matter what? Now, in order to have this right, you must know of it, and know you need to speak out if you want to be protected by it.
