Yeah - it started when I was in highschool and had to write a short story for english. Although it didn't have anything like the post here it was based on the near future where we discovered how to build jumpgates - basically the start of human exploration of other star systems and how we bring our problems with us - most scifi stories of the time always cut this bit out - and we've either had lots of colonies already or had discovered an alien system of gates already. I wanted to do a Mayflower story or the coloniesation of Austrailia story for future space exploration.

My teacher liked it a lot but it expanded with new ideas in my head since then. Maybe one day I'll put it all to paper. and hopefully Emily would survive that transition intact.
