so complacent that they will comply with most anything the system throws their way, without them even knowing they have the right to oppose it or ignore it or fight it.

Just thought I'd clear that up, since I like the term and will prolly be using it often enough.

The story of the Punch-Drunken ones. Their story is notorious one.
