How much do you understand of Latin, Sanskrit, Norwegian, Finnish, Russian or Italian?

I can discern enough of Latin to get the gist of most Latin phrases, and I can read French well enough to understand it. As much as I'd like to be able to do so, I don't have time to learn a bunch of languages.

I only come across as gravely serious to you because I have enough respect to take this board and its posters seriously, but I still joke around. Not as much as I used to; I try to make all my posts count and not post trivial nonsense. There's enough of that here without making the mods' job harder. I was a mod here at one time; I know how troublesome it can be.

I don't know whether I'd like Cleopatra Stratan or not because I've never listened to her. I'm sure she's fine. Even if I didn't, judging someone stupid because they don't have the same tastes in music as you is extraordinarily narrow-minded and gauche. I have no idea who Kenadie or Scarlatti are. Currently the sound is malfunctioning on this comp, so I can't listen to these at the moment. I'm sure they're lovely.
