Will all conensual sex be accepted?

What do you guys/gals think? Is it reasonable to expect that humans will become emotionally mature enough to accept the fact that not everybody has the same sexual appetite within our lifetimes? Do you think it's possible that all forms of consensual sex will be legal? I can't think of many things that are more childish than persecuting someone for having different opinions about things, there is no rationale behind this type of behavior, IMO.

Throughout human history, individuals who lust for anybody other than another person that is their own age and of the opposite sex have been told, without any logically sound reasoning, that their sexual desires are "wrong" and/or "inappropriate". Until only relatively recently, homosexuality has started to become accepted by mainstream culture/society, so much so that homosexual acts on television are somewhat commonplace. We are told these days do not discriminate someone because they are homosexual--essentially, we are told to respect their sexuality; there is absolutely nothing wrong with that, but what is odd is that we're encouraged to respect certain peoples' sexuality, while encouraged to demonize other peoples' sexuality (e.g.- people who are sexually attracted to LGs). When will society learn that there is no form of sexuality that is "better" or "worse" than any other form of sexuality (as sexuality is subjective), and that sexuality IN GENERAL should be respected?

Only a few decades ago, homosexuality was considered to be a mental disorder, similarly to how sexual attraction to LGs is today considered to be a mental disorder. I am hoping that this will change soon, but what can be done to speed the process of reversing this illogical notion that some forms of consensual sex are "deviant", whereas others are not? When will this madness end?
