DSM in Benson's Story

Several chapters in ⛓️‍💥[Removed] are devoted to a detailed analysis and critique of the DSM III (which was current when Benson's Story was written). I don't know if the relevant sections were changed since then, but you might find it interesting. (Although, to be honest, most people trying to read the story find those particular chapters to be thick, boring, and/or confusing, relative to the rest of it, so you'd have to be very interested in the DSM to get through them.) If you're discussing the DSM with someone who might actually listen to and understand a critique of it, feel free to take notes and bring up the same points in the discussion.
