Was it Abbey who sicked the police on a guy asking for help, or was it her sister? I forget, but that was one of th most horrible betrayals of trust I ever heard of by a so-called professional. I think they're both dead now and their columns are written by others.

Anyway, it could be they are on their way to something our culture considers taboo, or it may just be that her own dad sucks ass and she's adopted him as her new one. I often wonder about these letters where the answer is going to be so very obvious. Are they even real? Who knows.

It might just be that what is taking place is innocent even by other people's standards. It might just be that they are a bunch of snoopy paranoid weirdos living in a particularly snoopy, paranoid place. And it's sad that nowhere today is it ever condoned for a neighbors to develop a close relationship if one is a girl and one is a man, no matter what form it is taking. That is a consequence of a sick society geared toward greed and a drug-like obsession with all manner of dark spectacles in both news and television drama.
