If you get locked up do not talk about your case with anyone but your Lawyer and family.
I would recommend not even talking to your family about the case. In some cases, they can me made to testify against you. Discussing the case itself (What your attorney thinks, next court date, what happened in court that day, etc.) should be okay, but do NOT admit to anything even borderline illegal, especially if you're pleading "Not Guilty". But do not admit to doing any other crimes except the one you would be convicted of. Do discuss this with your attorney though. Since you more than likely will be required to take a polygraph, ask your attorney how to keep any uncharged crimes (if there are any) from being filed against you. Several of the questions they ask on polygraphs deal with things like "Is there anything you haven't told me" and other questions to trip you up. |
