Could you tell me more about the famous "singing door" of the Lateran Baptistery in Rome?

I am a little intrigued by it. Of course you don't necessarily know. There are other cities in Italy than Rome - and also the countryside.

I have heard that sound, but only in the radio. It is quite impressive: a long, eerie, musical, and even ghastly sound. And beautiful!

It is said that Dante heard it and that it affected his poetry.
