As lgsinmyheart said, make sure to check your local laws. In most cases however, you have the right to protect yourself or your family with lethal force. Some states might require that they actually be inside your house, but not all do. I was threatened by some guys once (had nothing to do with my pedophilia) and went inside and grabbed my gun. When the cop came later on, she said I had every right to shoot them in my yard if it had escalated. SM
