Good point

Although she is a child, and an idol among children in the Romanian speaking world, her songs are definitely not in the bag of the songs that Western children usually listen to. Her voice might be inspiring and itself joyful, but most of her songs, by Western standards at least, are sad songs, not happy songs, if you considered the actual text of the lyrics.

Personally, I regard that as a virtue not a drawback. But I can't help but wonder, at times, what she'd be singing if she had been born in an Anglosphere country; or even if she'd be such an idol among us if she sang Western-friendly lyrics in English.
